Shadow Wood is a traditional county club community located at The Brooks featuring lakefronts, to peaceful nature preserves, and panoramic golf course views. More than half of the community remains open space, with 416 acres of undeveloped forest and freshwater wetlands and 878 acres set aside for recreation, open areas, buffers and lakes. Shadow Wood’s broad range of residential options include custom estate single-family, custom single-family, traditional single-family, villa and coach home neighborhoods by participation builders.

Golf

Robert Cupp, voted Best Course Designer 10 of 11 years by Golf Digest magazine, created two courses at Shadow Wood Country Club. The club's third championship course was designed by Arthur Hills and is located at Shadow Wood Preserve. The club's full-service pro shop offers a variety of golf apparel and equipment. And if it's practice you seek, hone your skills on the putting green or driving range. Residents are eligible for membership in the Shadow Wood Country Club, which includes three championship golf courses. Shadow Wood North and South are anchored by a breathtaking 30,000-square-foot country club with restaurant, lounge, private dining room, pro shop, and men’s and women’s locker rooms, and a nine-court tennis complex. A second clubhouse and golf pro shop is located at Shadow Wood Preserve. Golf membership includes full use of three golf courses, nine tennis courts, and all social facilities. Golf members receive highest priority to reserve golf starting times and tennis court times. Members pay no greens fees or court fees. Golf cart fees apply. Members can participate in club tournaments and events, and enjoy reciprocal golf during the summer season.

Tennis

Nine Har-Tru, lighted courts serve novices and experts alike. The pro shop provides all the accessories you need to stay at the top of your game. Tennis membership includes full use of dining and social facilities, use of golf facilities during the off season (May 1 - October 31) upon payment of golf cart fees and greens fees, and second priority to reserve golf starting times on space-available basis.

Fitness

The Commons Club Fitness Center, with 10,700 square feet, has workout rooms, massage therapy suites, aerobics studio, locker and sauna areas throughout the facility. The Commons Club Fitness Center is the first facility in Southwest Florida to offer Cybex Arc Trainers. Members may choose from a variety of fitness programs, jazzercise, spinning. Pilates, kickboxing, heart-healthy classes and workouts with a personal trainer, and aesthetic services. The outdoor heated pool is 25 by 65 feet with four swimming lanes and two 12- by 10-foot swimout areas, and a secluded spa.

Club

Social members will be entitled use of all dining and social facilities of the Shadow Wood Country Club. They are entitled to use the golf facilities during the off-season (May 1 - October 31) for greens fees and golf cart fees. Social members have third priority to reserve golf starting times on a space available basis. The cap for this membership is the number of residential units minus the golf and sports memberships.
